Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 May 2026
Signature Solutions (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides hospitality-technology services to properties across Africa. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have over it. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation 2019 (“NDPR”) and any related implementation framework issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal data in three ways:
- Account and contact data — name, business name, email address, phone number, role/title, and authentication credentials (passwords are stored hashed; we never see them in plaintext).
- Engagement data — service shortlists, briefs, project details, property addresses, billing addresses, payment-method metadata (the last four digits and brand of a card; full PANs are tokenised by our payment processor and never stored on our systems), and invoices.
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, timestamps, and similar log data, collected to keep the site secure and to debug problems.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver the engagements you request and to send the resulting quotes and invoices.
- To respond to enquiries on our website, on WhatsApp, and over email.
- To improve our services, troubleshoot operational issues, and detect fraud or abuse.
- To send you transactional communications (engagement updates, invoices, receipts).
- To comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations under Nigerian law.
3. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with:
- Payment processors (e.g. TransactPay) to process invoices and accept payments. Your full card number is handled by the processor under PCI-DSS, not by us.
- Infrastructure providers (database hosting, file storage, email delivery) acting as data processors on our behalf, under contractual data-protection terms.
- Regulators and law-enforcement agencies where we are legally compelled to do so.
4. Data security
We protect personal data with HTTPS for data in transit, encrypted database storage for data at rest, role-based access on our systems, and audit logs on administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure, but we adopt commercially reasonable safeguards aligned with NDPR Article 2.6 (security and confidentiality).
5. Your rights
Under the NDPR, you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Request a portable copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent.
Send any such request to info@signature-solutions.com. We respond within 30 days. If we cannot satisfy your request, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and local storage to keep your session active, remember your preferred display currency, and measure site usage. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some site features may stop working if you do.
7. Data retention
We retain engagement records (briefs, contracts, invoices) for the period required by Nigerian tax and corporate law (currently six years). Marketing contacts are retained while you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period after you unsubscribe.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the site.
